Info and Tips

Round 1

Potential new members will attend all 13 houses, getting to know active members for about 15 minutes at each house.

Round 2

This day is all about philanthropy! Potential new members will learn about each sorority's philanthropies, some both nationally and locally. These rounds last about 30 minutes.

Round 3

During this round, potential new members will learn more about each chapter's sisterhood for about 45 minutes. After this round, potential new members will narrow their choices down to two houses.

Round 4 (preference)

Potential new members will be invited to two houses, where each has their own unique preference ceremony. This round lasts about one hour and is a special time for potential new members to see a different side of each sorority. After this round, potential new members will sign their bid cards and rank the two houses they attended.

BID DAY!

Potential new members will return to their recruitment group and after much anticipation, will open their bid cards to find out which house they have received a bid from. From there, potential new members run down the steps of Old Main to celebrate with their new home!

Tips for Recruitment:

Be yourself - the girls are looking forward to getting to know YOU, pick the chapter that best matches your personality, don't try to match theirs

Keep an open mind - dismiss the stereotypes and form your own opinions about chapters and Greek life in general

Get to know the chapters - don't be afraid to ask questions! girls will be more than willing to answer any questions and concerns you have about sorority life and its commitments

Try it out - even if you're unsure about going Greek, give it a chance - if you decided not to go Greek, you have at least had the opportunity to meet new friends that could last a lifetime and help you later in your college career

Look for the place you feel most comfortable - Find the place that makes you feel at ease and you could see yourself spending time with the girls you meet. These are girls you could be living with in the future!

Trust the process - sorority recruitment is well thought out in order to give every girl an equal chance to find their perfect house
